SINGER BIOGRAPHY:

Tsz Wun Michelle Wong is a dramatic soprano who was recently awarded a distinction from her MMus degree in Performance at the University of Surrey after graduating from the BMus programme in July 2024, studying with Jennifer Snapes and Jennifer Westwood. She is the winner of both the Diploma group and HKPPAA scholarship group in the Hong Kong Promotion of Performing Arts Association Competition in 2023 and has been awarded choral scholarships from Dr. Susannah Self for her choral course and from All Saints’ Church Guildford since 2022. Her versatile singing yielded excellent results during her studies, earning her a high first in both her Performance and Musical Theatre Modules, with a record-high grade in the department. Michelle is an active performer in Guildford, involved in recitals at various venues, including Guildford Cathedral, Holy Trinity Church, St. Martha’s Church, United Reformed Church, and The Guildford Institute. Michelle explores operatic works from different eras, ranging from eighteenth-century operas like Christoph Willibald Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice to contemporary operas like Judith Weir’s King Harald Saga, and specialises in Wagnerian and Puccinian works.
