Passionately committed to new music and art song, Salome actively commissions and premieres contemporary works. In May 2023 she curated and performed the multimedia recital “Echoes – Voices of Freedom from Victorians and Us”, featuring Jeffrey Joseph’s newly composed song cycle Songs for Salome (2022) alongside other modern settings of Victorian poetry. In 2024 she launched the vocal-piano duo series “Harmonious Sehnsucht in Verse”, premiering Joseph’s latest Byron settings. Through these projects Salome continues to champion living composers while forging innovative connections between poetry, music, and visual art.
