silent Auction Terms and conditions

1.By bidding in the SWAP'ra Silent Auction, each bidder agrees to these auction rules.

 

2. The buyer shall be the person with the highest bid accepted by the organisers through sealed bids.

 

3. SWAP’ra has the right to refuse any bid below the starting bid and to advance the bidding at the organiser's absolute discretion and in case of error or dispute, to put an item up for bidding again.

 

4. All sales are final. Statements by the organisers in the programme descriptions or made orally, or in writing elsewhere regarding the description of an item are merely statements of opinion and are not to be relied upon as statements of fact. SWAP'ra is not responsible for the correctness of such statements nor any errors of description or for any faults or defects in the lots.

 

5. Any illustrations are for guidance only

 

6. Buyer is responsible for satisfying themselves concerning the condition of any lot and the matters referred to in the lot description

 

7. Bids may be received by email before and after the event as long as 

such instructions are received in time and adhere to the auction terms and conditions. Auction closes at 21.00 on August 2nd 2018

 

8. Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction.Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising indirectly from SWAP'ra, their elected and appointed officials, members and employees, and/or volunteers connected with the auction.

  

9. The buyer must provide his/her name, telephone number, email (and postal addresses if required).

 

10. All lots are to be paid for in full on the within 48 hours of notification of the win. Failing payment in due time SWAP'ra is entitled to sell the lot to the highest under bidder.

 

11. Payment can be made either in cash, cheque payable to SWAP'ra, or by online payment to the SWAP’ra paypal account https://www.swap-ra.org/paypal-donations.
