Tenor William Prasetyo is an award winning Indonesian emerging classical and opera singer. Born in Bandung, Indonesia, William found his love of singing when he joined St. Peters Choir in his hometown and Parahyangan Catholic University Choir. He was a member of Batavia Madrigal Singers with conductor Avip Priatna, together, they won the European Grand Prix of Choral Singing 2022. He is studying at Guildhall School of Music and Drama Sarah Pring and Adrian Thompson and was coached with professionals such as Sir Thomas Allen and Nicky Spence. During his study he was performing in numerous recitals such as Purcell’s Welcome Glorious Morn, Rameau’s Les Sauvage, and recently performed in London Early Music Festival in November 2025. He also worked as a chorus with The Royal Ballet and Opera in Handel’s Giustino. In the future, he will be performing in Guildhall School’s Vocal Department production of Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmelites as Chevalier and Guildhall Opera School production of Britten’s Owen Wingrave, as the cover of Lechmere. In Indonesia, William was the winner of 2021 Ananda Sukarlan Art Song Competition, and was awarded gold medals in Ken Steven International Choral Festival and Satya Dharma Gita Choral Festival in Solo Classical Singer Category.
