British Soprano Rebecca Ramsey has toured the major concert halls of the UK and Europe performing and recording with groups including The Monteverdi Choir, Arcangelo and The English Concert. Recent solo performances have included Genius of England, a programme of Purcell and Handel theatre music with Devon Baroque at Dartington Hall and Bach St John Passion at Bath Abbey with Bristol Baroque. Choral highlights include Tavener’s The Veil of the Temple at the Edinburgh International Festival with Sofi Jeannin and Mozart Requiem with Pablo Heras-Casado, both with the Monteverdi choir. Rebecca graduated with an MMus from Trinity Laban and has participated in Masterclasses with Dr Jonathan Miller, Ian Page and Dame Anne Evans. Operatic and Oratorio highlights include: Almirena (Rinaldo) with Nicholas Kraemer; Deceit (The Triumph of Time and Truth) with Paul Goodwin; Haydn Missa Sancti Nicolai with Wessex Baroque; Handel Messiah Soloist at St John’s Smith Square. Although much of her career has centred around Baroque music and historical performance, in recent years Rebecca has established collaborations with pianists John Gough and John Cuthbert and has enjoyed venturing into later musical worlds to explore art song.
