Rebecca’s musical identity is much like that of her native Glasgow: boundary-pushing, a champion of marginalised voices, and a force to be reckoned with. She works across the UK as a freelance performer and choral producer having studied at the Royal Northern College of Music (MMus 2019-21 and PGDip 2022-23). Rebecca has performed at the Wigmore Hall, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, has worked with Opera North as a Leverhulme Arts Scholar, and was recently awarded the Platinum Prize in the Saint-Saens International Music Competition. Recent opera credits have included previous seasons as Chorus with Buxton International Festival, creating the role of Constance ‘Disorderly House’ in BIF’s Shorts 2025; Mary Ann ‘The Boatswain’s Mate’; Lady Bertram ‘Mansfield Park’; Minskwoman ‘Flight’; and Lapak ‘The Cunning Little Vixen’. Rebecca works with National Youth Choir, managing many high-profile events including 3Choirs Festival, BBC Proms, and a recent international tour to South Africa. She continues this work in a freelance capacity with other companies, and also sits on the Board of Pimlico Opera.
