SINGER BIOGRAPHY:

British mezzo-soprano Miro Treharne is a graduate from Trinity Laban Conservatoire (first-class honours) and is studying at The Royal Academy of Music on the Master of Arts course under Catherine Wyn-Rogers and Joseph Middleton where she is a member of the Academy Song Circle. She is financially supported by the Countess of Munster Trust as the ‘Dame Janet Baker Scholar’ and is also a Drake Calleja Scholar, generously supported by the Drake Calleja Trust. She has performed as the Alto Soloist for ‘Mozart Requiem’ alongside Ailish Tynan, Nick Pritchard and James Platt and has won numerous Song prizes such as The English Song Duo Competition (adjudicated by William Vann), Elisabeth Schumann Lieder Competition (adjudicated by Rebecca Cohen) and The Lillian Ashe French Song Competition (adjudicated by Alison Wells) held at Trinity Laban. Roles include ‘Second Woman’ Dido’s Ghost, ‘Penelope’ Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria with Trinity Laban Opera and ‘Tolomeo’ Giulio Cesare with Saluzzo Opera Academy, supported by the Elizabeth Luxton Memorial Scholarship. She looks forward to performing at Garsington Festival next season as an Alvarez Emerging Artist 2026/2027, performing chorus in La Traviata and covering the role of ‘Noble Orphan’ in Der Rosenkavalier.
