SINGER BIOGRAPHY:

Joanna graduated with an MMus from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2017, where she was one of six vocal prize-winners in 2016, and is currently studying with Yvette Bonner. She has appeared in the chorus of Longborough Festival Opera several times, most recently in L’elisir d’amore in 2023, and as an Emerging Artist in The Cunning Little Vixen in 2021. She has also worked regularly with Forbear! Theatre, who produce and tour creative, small-scale productions of Gilbert and Sullivan, and the National G&S Opera Company, with whom she played Peep Bo in The Mikado in 2017. Recent roles include Josephine (HMS Pinafore), Lisa (The Grand Duke), Gianetta and Casilda (The Gondoliers), Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance), Lady Saphir (Patience), Phyllis (Iolanthe), Rose Maybud (Ruddigore). Oratorio solos include Bruckner Requiem, Charpentier Te Deum and Mozart Requiem. Joanna currently lives three lives at once - teaching singing and piano privately in Cambridgeshire; raising her two adorable little boys (3 and 1); and finding and improving her postpartum singing voice.
