SINGER BIOGRAPHY:

Soprano JJ Lam read Computer Science at Trinity College, Cambridge, where she sang in the chapel choir under Stephen Layton. After a brief career in finance, she retrained as a performer, graduating in 2024 from the MA Musical Theatre course at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She has also trained at Mountview, National Youth Theatre and Morley Opera School. JJ is an experienced recitalist and choral soloist, and is a current Choral Scholar at St John’s Notting Hill. In 2025, JJ was selected as a Serena Fenwick artist with British Youth Opera, sang the national anthem at a televised Women’s Six Nations rugby fixture, played Pitti-Sing in The Mikado at Tabard Theatre, and sang in the Chorus of the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company at Buxton Opera House. Upcoming roles: Young Nezha in new musical Nezha, and Despina in Ensemble OrQuestra Academy’s production of Così fan tutte.
