British soprano Alicia Mallace-Goulbourne has been praised for her “sensitive legato” and “outstanding poise and command.” She made her role debut as Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia with Opera Asteria. Other roles include cover Anna (La nonne sanglante, Gothic Opera), Dido (Dido & Aeneas, Opera Asteria), Naiad (Ariadne auf Naxos, Uncovered Opera Company), Cis (Albert Herring, New Palace Opera), Dama (Macbeth, Uncovered Opera Company) and Suor Osmina (Suor Angelica, Opera Greenwich). Her ensemble work spans companies such as Hampstead Garden Opera, Regents Opera, Scherzo Ensemble, Saffron Opera Group, and Gothic Opera’s Offie-winning La nonne sanglante. She has appeared as soprano soloist in Mozart’s Requiem and Mendelssohn’s Hymn of Praise. Alicia’s career highlights include reaching the semi-finals of the Trinity Laban Soloist Competition, being a reserve finalist for the MOCSA Young Welsh Singer of the Year, performing Alice in Falstaff with Welsh National Opera, and taking part in masterclasses with David Gowland and evening concerts with the ROH Jette Parker Artists. Also an active recitalist, she has performed across the UK in venues including the Lighthouse Arts Centre, the Old Royal Naval College Chapel, Queen’s House and Charlton House. She next appears as the Witch in Uncovered Opera Company’s upcoming Hansel and Gretel.
