SINGER BIOGRAPHY:
Alexander began singing as a chorister at Westminster Cathedral in 2007, becoming head chorister in 2011, performing in tours, recordings, and broadcasts. He earned a music degree from the University of Manchester in 2020 and worked as a lay clerk at St John’s College Choir, Cambridge, for two years. Back in London, he launched a freelance career, singing with Tenebrae and Westminster Abbey Choir, notably at King Charles III’s coronation. As a soloist, he has performed at venues such as the Barbican, Royal Festival Hall, and in operas including La Bohème and The Marriage of Figaro with Westminster Opera Company. In 2020, he co-founded Coro Spezzato to support new composers and young singers. His choral compositions have aired on BBC Radio 3 and been recorded by St John’s College Choir and Continuum Choir. Since 2024, he has been studying for a Masters in vocal performance at the Royal Academy of Music, winning First Prize in the 2025 Schumann Lieder Competition. In September 2025, Alexander was appointed as a lay clerk with Westminster Cathedral Choir.
